Christmas Eve Festive
*** LOG OPEN ***
- We had planned for this event way before the Apocalypse. It was to be a celebration of our life at the house despite being on a shaky foundation.
- We decided to proceed with the small festive gathering even though our life has changed. I was the one paying for all the food, and that’s a given really. I am not complaining.
- Edquin was in charge of the invitation, and most of the guests are his anyway. Most of my friends that know of my existing condition is also a friend of his, and those who does not know about it will not be invited to the event – and that’s common sense.
- It was his positive estimation that around 40 people will be coming to the event. However the reality was not as sweet as what we expected.
- Overall, there were around maybe 20 people that came throughout the day. Even though he issued the invitation from 10.30 am, the first guest only came at 2 pm.
- There were a lot of food left at the end of the day, and we had to throw it away. I guess if we had done a more prudent estimation, we could have cut down the quantity of food.
- The festive celebration has ended splendidly for us regardless, and it’s a good closure to our chequered life. While most of the guests know of our predicament and what lies ahead, some were still left in the dark, and we plan to keep it as such. Maybe until the right time comes.
